“It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s a hostage situation!” BIRD HOSTAGE, directed by and starring Lauren Andrews (DISGRACELAND) alongside Jay Baruchel (BLACKBERRY), follows Lauren as she takes a job pet-sitting Diane’s (Jan Caruana) parrot. However, within the shroud of darkness and beneath a suspiciously placed sheet, Lauren finds Reggie (Baruchel), an African grey parrot, who longs for freedom and has a mouth like a sailor! Striking up a friendship, Lauren and Reggie hatch a plan for his escape. BIRD HOSTAGE is a hilariously absurd romp with a lot of heart as it takes its audience through the struggles of finding independence and belonging.
