To say that Marco didn't have it easy would be an understatement. Born to a Korean father he doesn't know and a seriously ill Filipina mother, he fights in underground boxing rings and has to interact with organized crime in the dark, grimy corners of the Philippines to survive. To gain support for his mother, Marco seeks out his father, who suddenly appears and offers to take them to Korea to meet him. With Marco at last be able to breathe a sigh of relief? Not at all, quite the opposite, as he finds himself hunted down by an unstoppable assassin, a racist half-brother with the family fortune in his gun sights, and a mysterious woman who seems to have been following him for some time. THE CHILDE often flirts with a comic-book flavour, so much so that its cast delivers unrestrained performances during incredible sequences that defy the laws of physics, and have loads of fun with the playful dialogue.
